Our Origins
Beamish Blacksmithing & Jewellery started in 2018. After a long battle with a rare disease, Aiden decided he needed to return to making but this time in the lighter side with jewellery as the main making criteria.
before Beamish Blacksmithing was started, Aiden trained in blacksmithing for three years at Plumpton college aswell as jewellery courses offered as a side qualification. This lead to him gaining several awards for his work as a student, including the Bloomstiens innovation in silver award.
He then continued his training at Hereford college of arts, where he completed his BA Hons degree in artist blacksmithing, making kinetic sculpture work along side smaller hand forged jewellery pieces. this lead to Aiden being awarded gallery space in several national galleries.
After leaving Hereford Aiden worked for world renound blacksmiths GerogeJames and Sons working on projects such as Hampton court palace screens. This is when Aiden had to battle through a rare wrist disease which stopped him making for a few years, finally returning to making in 2018 and continues to forge ahead with making stunning hand crafted pieces.
